Community Gardening

Working alongside Eco church we have made hedgehog houses and insect piles and we have also erected some bird boxes and hung up bird feeders. As spring now moves into summer we continue to ensure that the graves are kept tidy and accessible as a matter of respect for visiting families. We have been blessed and are grateful for the positive comments and thanks received from visitors and have a PCC approved gardening policy in place.  We embrace the Eco church approach of not mowing all of the grassed areas which allows meadow flowers to grow and encourages more wildlife in our churchyard. The hope is that it can now be enjoyed as a place of quiet contemplation and prayer amongst nature.

If you would like to join us, our friendly team of volunteers meet every Tuesday morning from 09:30 - 11:30. It's a really sociable way to contribute to the upkeep of the Church grounds, bring along your own gloves and we'll look forward to seeing you!
